Happy Birthday NIKO!

I can never be more thankful enough to this special woman.. As I've said on my previous posts, she was my older sister's college friend. They've been friends for several years now and still counting. I never thought we would be close because of blogging. She was the one who formally introduced me to this "addictive thingy". Hehe. Thanks for your continual help..

A faithful wife.
A doting mother.
An affectionate daughter.
A constant friend.

That's Niko.

Happy birthday to you dearie.. (Late. Pakana ni Pehpot! Hahaha..)

Itinerary at Coron, Palawan

Our 3 days and 2 nights stay at Coron was really really really worth the expenses. Hehe. The views, the activities, the waters, they're everything more than I expected.

First day. From the airport, we headed to our lodge and by 4pm, we started our tour. We were scheduled to go first at Mt. Tapyas wherein we had to take 724 steps to get to the top and see the scenery. Wow! It was knee shaking! Hehe.. Next, we went to Maquinit Hot Spring where dipped in water ranging from 37-40 degree Celsius. It was hot! I can feel I was perspiring even I'm wet. But it was indeed therapeutic. All my body aches were all gone. Then we went home and rested.

Second day. Island hopping! This is my favorite. We went to 7 places. Oh my, I already forgot the names. There's the Twin Lagoon, 91 Beach, Siete Picados, Ship Wreck, Kayangan Lake and other two. Kayangan Lake was my fave though the rock formation under water really scared me. It felt like something would drag me down the water. The snorkeling, oh my! It was such an experience! Hahaha. That's the reason why I got unevenly tanned. My lower back was even darker than my other body parts. Hehe. But it's okay. I enjoyed!

Third day. Nothing special. We waited and waited for our postponed flight at the airport. Thank God! The whole trip was safe and fun. Am hoping to come back there sometime (though not soon). =)

The Coron Trip Participants

My siblings and I were the original participants of this trip. Until Mommy Niko decided that she also wanted to tag along with her family plus her godmother, Ate Emie and her daughter.

Erika, our youngest, unfortunately wasn't able to use her plane ticket. Her finals was supposedly last week but then, because of typhoon Ondoy, it was moved this week so she wasn't able to join us. So sad. =(

So we were ten.

Mommy Niko, Yobib and Yena

Ate Emie and Joan

Our eldest, Ate Ivs

My Ate Kat and her boyfriend, Richmond

My Kuya Dong

And of course, ME! Hehe..

Krystal Lodge (Coron)

We stayed at Krystal Lodge. The rooms were built above the water. I love it! Hehe. It was very cozy and they were built out of wood. We rented two rooms. The owner allows their guests to use their kitchen so we can just cook our meal. Their service is so fine and their rate is affordable.

They also have WiFi and that's a bonus. Heheh.. Most of their guests there are foreigners.

My First Ever Plane Ride

Well how did my first plane ride experience went? It was ok though there were really times I felt like I was in a roller coaster and I unfortunately hate that ride! Hehe. Well, as obvious, I managed to pull it off because am back here in Cavite now.

Our airline was ZestAir. Our flight to Palawan (Busuanga Airport) was fine. No hassle was encountered. We were even afraid at first because we thought that we would have a very rough ride knowing that the plane wasn't that huge. But we thought wrong. Everything went out fine.

On our way back to Manila, it was totally a freaking headache! We were supposed to leave Palawan by 11am. We were there past 9. There were still no crew at ZeatAir's front desk and it was 30 mins before our flight! Some staff gave us the number of the airline's representative. Our flight was moved to 3:55pm! What?! We didn't even receive any advice from them! We even admired their service until this event happened. Well I can't imagine how long we waited. Thanks to Mommy Niko's lappy that we managed to watch movies while killing the time.

Our Superb Coron Trip

My elder sister, Kat, planned this whole trip. She heard about some airline's domestic flights promo so she asked me, my sisters and my brother if we would want to go to Coron, Palawan with KKB (kanya-kanyang bayad) system. That was April. Haha! We were able to book our flights immediately after that. I can't explain how excited we were that time. How we wish it was already October!

And now it is!! Yahu! I am so excited to tell you everything about it.

Let me tell you first about the sceneries. WOW! That's all I can say. It's actually unexplainable. I thought that those pictures I see in magazines and in the internet are just edited or something but they're not. They're totally and absolutely real! Here are some of the pictures we took from our very own digicams.

How Am I?

Wow. I super missed the blogosphere. Since I started to volunteer as a staff nurse, I have been really busy considering the fact that I also work as a part time tutor after my duty.

Let me share some pics related to my recent experiences.

I have 5 Korean students. Two are in their 3rd year in high school, one is in his second and other two in their 5th grade. These children really got some serious mood swings. But if they are in their good mood, they could definitely make someone laugh. It's not easy traveling everyday to Tagaytay but am proud to say that they are worth the effort. =)

Joon, 3rd year high school

Justin, 5th grade

Carlo, 2nd year high school

As for my duty, there are really idle days when there are no patients (we just make cotton balls and OS instead. hehe). But most of the time, we could find ourselves in toxic modes when we can't even get a chance to have our little chit chat with the staff and other volunteers.

The last time I had my duty, we had a patient who had a spontaneous abortion. When I saw the fetus, I was really teary eyed. The child could've been the country's future. Well I couldn't do anything but to share my empathy with the mother.

I miss my blogger friends. I miss you guys! I am looking forward to be able to visit your mansions again. Sorry I can't do it tonight. I badly need a rest. Thanks for your visits. Muah muah!

Blog Power for Charity

George Daniel Arevalo Samson, is the 5-month old son of Mommy Niko's high school friend, Clarissa. Daniel is suffering from biliary atresia with cirrhosis and is in immediate need of liver transplant. This operation has never been done here in the country and the cheapest operation is available in Taiwan for 3 Million Pesos ($60,000)..

Mommy Niko is now asking for prayer power and blog power for baby Daniel. She also has a $3 for Daniel Project.. Now if you know any way to spread this, please do help. A simple post in your blog would surely count.

If you want to donate, please visit Mommy Niko's blog for details and be a blessing to Daniel in your own little way.

Thank you and God bless us all!

Thank God it's Weekend!

I so missed blogging. I wasn't able to update my blogs for a week. My schedule turned out to be so hectic lately and I was surprised to see myself enjoying it. I missed being busy since I had been a home buddy for quite some time. I got the part time job I talked to you guys about. Thank God. Here's my routine. I wake up at 6 in the morning, attend my hospital duty from 8am-4pm then I go straight to Tagaytay for my part time job from 6pm-9pm. I reach home by 10pm-11pm. I eat then go to straight to bed. The next day, I would again wake up at 6. And so on and so forth.. I enjoy teaching my Korean students. And I am happy with what I do.

I receive my salary weekly. And since I received the first one yesterday, I gave my mom and my 2 sisters a movie treat. We watched In My Life starring Vilma Santos, John Lloyd Cruz and Luis Manzano. We chose to watch that film because my mom is a Vilmanian. Hehe. And my sisters and I love John Lloyd Cruz plus we wanted to know if he and Luis really did a kissing scene and we really are so shocked they did! Oh my! Hahahha..

I really had a long week. And I thank God it's weekend! Yahu!!

Kimmy Dora!

My family and I watched the local comedy film, Kimmy Dora (Kambal sa Kiyeme), and it was really a whole lot of fun! It was really funny and Eugene Domingo, who played both the Kimmy and the Dora role, really did a great job. Totally hilarious!

It is now my second week as a volunteer staff nurse. Yahu! Hehe. Am enjoying it (kahit walang sweldo). Hehe.. I also decided to look for a part time job since I still got lots of free time. I am scheduled for a job interview later today as an English tutor to Korean students in Tagaytay and since they have an urgent need, once I pass the interview, I could start today already. That's weekdays, 6pm-9pm. I just pray I get the job.

Also, thanks to Mommy Pehpot's help, my new Health and Fashion for Women blog is now okay. You can view it again guys and this time, no "This website is temporarily unavailable" notice will show up. I promise. Don't forget to leave some lovin' everytime you visit ayt? See you there!
